Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer – Salesforce & Enterprise Applications Job Location: Hybrid; New York, NY (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Pay Range: $61-$71/hr (W2), depending on experience Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Likely extension) Position Overview Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead quality assurance and testing activities across enterprise applications throughout the software development lifecycle. This role will focus on test strategy, automation, functional and integration testing, data quality, Salesforce testing, defect management, and release validation. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on QA automation expertise with the ability to lead testing efforts within Agile delivery teams. This individual will partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and application support teams to establish comprehensive test coverage, identify defects early, and continuously improve software quality and QA processes. Key Responsibilities QA Strategy & Test Leadership Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.Define testing approaches based on business requirements, technical specifications, integrations, and application risk.Ensure appropriate test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle.Promote QA standards, testing best practices, and continuous quality improvement.Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing methodologies and automation. Test Automation Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and test scripts.Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing.Develop reusable and maintainable automated tests supporting enterprise applications.Incorporate automated testing into Agile software delivery processes.Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and coordinate defect resolution. Functional, Integration & End-to-End Testing Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate validation activities with business stakeholders.Validate APIs, databases, system integrations, and backend processes.Test complex workflows spanning multiple applications and enterprise systems.Support release validation, production verification, and post-deployment hypercare. Salesforce & Data Quality Testing Perform testing of Salesforce applications, workflows, configurations, integrations, and business processes.Validate Salesforce functionality against business and technical requirements.Conduct data quality assurance activities to verify the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of application data.Validate data movement and integrations across enterprise applications and connected systems.Identify data-related defects and collaborate with technical teams on root-cause analysis and resolution. Defect Management & Quality Assurance Identify, document, prioritize, track, retest, and verify software defects.Collaborate with developers and technical teams to investigate defects and determine root causes.Monitor testing progress, defect trends, and release readiness.Communicate testing risks, issues, results, and quality status to project stakeholders. Agile Collaboration Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, support teams, and other stakeholders throughout delivery.Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.Help ensure the team's adherence to Agile processes and QA best practices while adapting testing approaches to individual team needs.Advocate for quality throughout requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment rather than limiting QA activities to the end of the development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Professional experience in software quality assurance and enterprise application testing.Strong hands-on experience with test automation and automated testing frameworks.Experience developing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.Experience with Salesforce application testing.Strong experience with data quality assurance and data validation.Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.Experience validating APIs, databases, integrations, and backend processes.Strong understanding of defect management and software testing best practices.Experience working within Agile software development environments.Ability to promote Agile processes and QA best practices while adapting to the needs of individual delivery teams.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading QA or testing activities across enterprise software initiatives.Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, enhancements, or integrations.Experience with Agile Quality Assurance practices.Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD or modern software delivery processes.Experience supporting UAT, release validation, production verification, and hypercare.Experience mentoring QA engineers and establishing testing standards.Familiarity with API testing, database testing, and enterprise integration testing.
