About The Role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer – API Automation & Performance Testing, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable quality engineering solutions that improve application reliability, API quality, and system performance. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated testing solutions.
  • Perform API, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across enterprise applications.
  • Build and maintain robust API automation frameworks and reusable test assets using industry-leading automation tools.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders to review requirements, identify risks, and ensure complete test coverage.
  • Manage defect lifecycle activities, including defect analysis, tracking, reporting, and resolution validation.
  • Contribute to testing standards, quality engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support application monitoring, performance validation, and production quality assurance activities.
  • Partner with development and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of software testing practices, testing levels, test planning, test script development, and test data creation.
  • Experience working within SAFe Agile Framework and Agile delivery environments.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, JSON, and REST APIs.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, planning, tracking, and delivery activities.
  • Experience with performance testing using JMeter and/or K6.
  • A strong working knowledge of Java and JSON.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining API automation frameworks using Ready API, Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured, Java, and Playwright/Selenium.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using application monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace.
  • Experience implementing continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of modern test automation architecture and quality engineering best practice.
  • Experience mentoring QA engineers and promoting automation-first testing strategies.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have:

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
