Senior Purchasing Analyst

This position serves as a Senior Purchasing Analyst in the Division of State Purchasing. This position requires a natural curiosity to explore innovative solutions, stay up to date on industry trends, and continuously seek improvements in procurement processes. This is an exciting opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in government contracting, create value for state agencies, and serve the State of Florida.

Under the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis, Secretary Tom Berger and DMS’ Executive Leadership Team, the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) is a customer-oriented agency with a broad portfolio that includes the efficient use and management of real estate, procurement, human resources, group insurance, retirement, telecommunications, fleet, and federal property assistance programs used throughout Florida’s state government. Responsibilities

• Providing in-depth research and analytical support for a variety of procurement projects
• Drafting comprehensive contract documents
• Developing and conducting competitive solicitations including Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Negotiation (ITNs), and Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Ensuring that all specified sourcing strategies strictly align with established policies, procedures, formats, and deadlines
• Developing procurement strategies that are designed to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize costs for government contracts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience; or 4 years professional experience in procurement, project management, or related business field.

Qualifications

• Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)
• Florida Certified Contract Negotiator (FCCN)
• E-sourcing experience
• Experience using MyFloridaMarketPlace, Ariba, and Tableau
