Senior Purchasing Agent

As a Senior Purchasing Agent, you will play a critical role in sourcing and procuring the plumbing materials, equipment, and supplies that keep projects moving on time and on budget. This is more than a purchasing role—it is an opportunity to partner closely with project managers, field teams, and vendors to drive operational excellence, strengthen strategic relationships, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Purchase plumbing materials, equipment, and jobsite supplies
• Review plumbing and civil plans/specifications to ensure accurate ordering
• Cook up with project managers, field teams, vendors, and warehouse staff
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing when needed
• Track deliveries, inventory, and material availability
• Aid with submittals and product documentation
• Support warehouse operations and material logistics
• Ensure materials meet project specifications and timelines
• Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, shortages, and substitutions
• Utilize computer systems for purchasing, inventory, and order tracking

Requirements

• 5+ years of plumbing industry experience or plumbing supply house experience
• Strong understanding of plumbing materials, systems, and products
• Ability to read plumbing and civil plans/specifications
• Experience with submittals and construction documentation is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Computer proficiency required
• Warehouse and inventory experience is preferred
• A bachelor's degree is preferred
