Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the global lead for photography and image strategy across assigned titles, working closely with PR, marketing, franchise, and international teams
- Manage studio photography on social media sites
- Develop and execute photo strategies and timelines that prioritize digital, social, and press needs from first look through home entertainment
- Edit, curate, and distribute imagery across global platforms, ensuring timely delivery of approved assets to domestic and international markets
- Oversee publicity shoots, unit photography, premieres, and special events, including art direction, photographer oversight, and final image selection
- Manage talent and filmmaker photo approvals in collaboration with publicists and coordinators
- Oversee image request systems (domestic & international), special image requests, and press deadlines
- Supervise image distribution platforms and asset pipelines, with a strong understanding of the Getty platform
- Manage stills and photography budgets in alignment with comparable film campaigns
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent visual standards and brand alignment across all imagery
- Support awards campaigns and annual preview materials with curated photography assets
- Digital & Social Leadership (Core Focus)
- Drive a digital-first photography mindset, ensuring imagery is optimized for social platforms, online press, and emerging media formats
- Maintain relationships with up-and-coming social, editorial, and culturally relevant photographers, introducing fresh visual voices into studio campaigns
- Identify new trends in digital photography, visual storytelling, and social aesthetics, and apply them strategically to film publicity
- Act as a key creative voice in evolving how the studio visually represents its films in the digital landscape
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of photo editing experience, ideally within film, entertainment, media, or a related creative industry
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
- Strong editorial eye with the ability to curate images for press, digital, and social impact
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Deep understanding of publicity, marketing, and talent-driven photography workflows
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across creative, marketing, and international teams
- Passion for photography culture, emerging photographers, and evolving digital platforms
