Job Description and Duties

This classification is subject to Section 5, Hiring-Above-Minimum (HAM) Authorization of the California State Civil Service Pay Scales. The authorized HAM rate for this classification is P $32,260 Q $33,032.

Under the direction of the Chief of Mental Health, the Senior Psychiatrist, Supervisor is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) and Mental Health Crisis Bed (MHCB). This includes intervention, weekly individual or group therapy, treatment and discharge planning, participating in interdisciplinary team evaluations, and consultation with the psychiatrists, nursing, and other staff.
