Senior Protection and Control Engineer

This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality design of protection schemes for T&D substations and related projects
• Review and optimize P&C designs, sealing designs with a professional engineer stamp
• Lead all technical aspects of AC power substation projects for safe operation
• Review auxiliary systems' designs, including AC/DC distribution and backup systems
• Conduct power system studies and validate design effectiveness
• Develop and review testing and commissioning procedures
• Interface with various technical teams and customer representatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
• P.E. License in the US
• Minimum 10 years of experience in system protection schemes, relay selection, and operational analysis in T&D settings
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design reviews and technical mentoring
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for customer site testing

Pay

$122,300 – $163,100 annually
