Job Summary

Landrum & Brown is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Specialist to support the development of high-quality proposals and business development materials for aviation and transportation clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full proposal lifecycle for RFPs, RFQs, SOQs, and other client solicitations.
  • Review solicitation documents and identify requirements, evaluation criteria, deadlines, and compliance needs.
  • Develop proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, assignments, and production plans.
  • Cook up proposal content with technical staff, project managers, business development leaders, and teaming partners.
  • Write, edit, and refine proposal content to ensure it is clear, accurate, compelling, and responsive to client requirements.
  • Tailor resumes, project descriptions, qualifications, and other materials for each pursuit.
  • Coordinate graphics, document formatting, and final production consistent with L&B branding.
  • Perform detailed quality-control reviews for accuracy, consistency, formatting, completeness, and compliance.
  • Manage final electronic and print submissions and ensure all materials are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Support interview and presentation development, proposal debriefs, and broader marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and current proposal resources, including resumes, project descriptions, templates, and boilerplate content.
  • Manage multiple concurrent pursuits while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, journalism, English, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of career experience which will include 5–10 years of proposal development experience, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
  • Experience in other sectors within the Architecture, Engineering & Construction space is also of interest.
  • Experience managing deadline-driven RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and compliance issues.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign; experience with additional Adobe Creative Suite applications is preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the aviation, airport, transportation, architecture, engineering, or professional consulting industries.
  • Familiarity with public-sector and qualifications-based procurement processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external teaming partners.
  • APMP certification or related proposal-management training is a plus.

Additional Information

Landrum & Brown is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $105,000 - $140,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
