About the role
Addison Group is partnering with a well-established professional services organization seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to support strategic growth initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex proposal efforts, collaborate with executive leadership, and play a key role in securing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the proposal development process from opportunity assessment through final submission.
- Manage proposal schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
- Supervise and mentor proposal staff while supporting workload prioritization across active pursuits.
- Analyze solicitation requirements and develop proposal strategies that align with customer objectives.
- Facilitate proposal planning meetings, content development sessions, and review cycles.
- Partner with subject matter experts, business development professionals, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Write, edit, and refine proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and responsiveness.
- Develop compliance documentation and oversee adherence to solicitation requirements.
- Capture and maintain supporting materials, including organizational experience, project summaries, and personnel qualifications.
- Support proposal process improvements, content management initiatives, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
- Ensure all proposal submissions meet organizational quality standards and established procedures.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience managing and developing proposals within a government contracting or professional services environment.
- Prior experience leading proposal teams and coordinating cross-functional contributors.
- Able to be in the office 3-4 days a week.
- Strong understanding of proposal development best practices and structured review processes.
- Demonstrated success developing compelling technical, management, and corporate proposal content.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and proposal development tools.
- Knowledge of government procurement processes and competitive bidding environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.

Pay
$165,000 - $175,000 / Year DOE
