About the role
Aon is seeking a Senior Property Risk Control Consultant for its Property Consulting Group. This is a virtual role based in the US.
Responsibilities
- Assemble Construction, Occupancy, Protection and Exposure (COPE) Data.
- Manage brokerage submission information.
- Data assembly and preparation of summary documents.
- Support broker renewals.
- Attend and participate in carrier meetings.
- Vendor management.
- Review recommendation reviews and analyses.
- Complete property risk control surveys.
- Develop property underwriting reports for various occupancies.
- Conduct Nat Cat surveys and populate primary and secondary modeling characteristics.
- Analyze flood exposures in accordance with NIFP and FEMA guidelines.
- Coordinate vendor Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Develop and review Maximum Foreseeable (MFL), Probable Maximum (PML) and Normal Loss (NLE) estimates.
- Understand hazards associated with various occupancies including manufacturing, warehousing, soft occupancies, etc.
- Solve technical fire protection issues using Client Standards, NFPA, FM Global or other best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 to 10 years of experience with a Highly Protected Risk insurance carrier or vendor.
- Proficiency in understanding, interpreting, and applying NFPA and/or FM Global standards; and evaluating fire protection systems.
- Self-sufficiency, organization, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks such as climbing ladders and stairs.
- Ability to work from home.
