Senior Property Accountant - Real Estate w/Yardi

Responsibilities

• Operating revenue and expense variance analysis
• Reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts to supporting reports
• P prepare Monthly bank reconciliations
• Responsible for monthly payments for debt service, owner distribution calculations, etc.
• Responsible for real estate tax and insurance payments, to avoid late payments and penalties
• Responsible for personal property tax filings and business licenses
• P ost monthly accruals and work with Regional and Property managers for accuracy
• P repare replacement reserve filings
• Maintain and update schedules for Equity Fac
• Facilitate with annual budget process by preparing supporting schedules and working with the site team
• Assist site team with budget re-forecast and cash re-forecasts
• Answer audit questions and assist with preparing supporting schedules
• Timely resolution of problems and issues
• Ongoing communication with regional operational and site managers and third party ownership as needed
• P rocess improvement identification

Qualifications

• B A or BS Degree in Accounting/Finance is required
• Minimum of 7 years experience is required
• Knowledge of GAAP is required
• P roficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, sumifts, etc.)
• Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
• S trong ability to work under pressure independently or in team environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Yardi is preferred
• Demonstrates ability and interest to develop strong analytical skills
