Senior Property Accountant

About the role

Vaco is seeking a Senior Property Accountant in Scottsdale, Arizona!

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.
• Lead month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant billings, and cash management processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax, and compliance activities.
• Partner with operations, leasing, and asset management teams to drive portfolio performance and financial accuracy.
• Prepare financial analyses, reporting, and insights for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Maintain lease-related accounting and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Property Accounting/Real Estate Experience
• Experience with Yardi/Other Real Estate Software
• Able to go On Site 5 Days a Week

Qualifications

Salary $90-100k
