Senior Projects Analyst-Houston, TX

About the role

iSphere is seeking a Senior Projects Analyst for a 2‑year onsite contract in Houston, TX. The role sits at the intersection of projects, procurement, SAP, and day‑to‑day project support for Midstream Projects. You will keep the administrative and financial side of project work moving — ensuring requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, access requests, and SAP issues never become bottlenecks. You’ll serve as a go‑to resource for Project Leads when SAP workflows stall, and you’ll work closely with Procurement, Accounts Payable, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing, project setup, labor and expense activities, and vendor coordination
• Troubleshoot SAP issues — research project data, resolve system errors, manage project access
• Create requisitions and support purchase order and invoice processing
• Maintain accurate project costs, purchase orders, change orders, and documentation
• Prepare documentation and reporting for project controls
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, vendors, Project Leads, and other internal teams
• Train and mentor Project Leads on SAP usage, including Project Builder requisitioning
• Help team members understand and correctly use SAP and related systems
• Read and interpret drawings and technical documentation
• Support multiple projects simultaneously with strong follow‑up and communication

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting maintenance or project activities using SAP or a similar ERP system
• Strong SAP experience in project, maintenance, requisitioning, or purchasing modules
• Proven experience creating requisitions and resolving purchase order and invoice issues
• Experience working directly with Procurement and Accounts Payable teams
• Ability to research project data and troubleshoot SAP‑related problems
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication and follow‑up skills

Preferred qualifications

• Background in procurement activities, project controls, pipeline or terminal operations, or maintenance management systems
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pipeline or terminal equipment
• Prior Midstream industry experience
• Ability to act as a true SAP subject‑matter resource — not just a user — including training others, supporting Project Builder, troubleshooting system errors, and managing access
