Senior Project Scheduler - Aviation
Position Description Summary
The TDIP Scheduler shall participate as an integral member of an owner's program and project controls team, directly responsible for scheduling multiple, interdependent projects of a large scale ($100m+ in value). They will work collaboratively with other elements of the owner's team, including project managers, construction managers, other controls discipline leads, and claims staff to monitor, report on, and negotiate issues on assigned projects.
Essential Job Duties
Review project schedule submittals by Design and Contractor Teams
Perform independent analysis of submitted schedules for Owner, ensuring all schedule submittals meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the contracts.
Facilitate coordination on interface issues between multiple projects
Ensure submitted schedules follow LAWA project code and activity code structure
Identify, understand and apply the relevant sections of the contract to each claim
Absorb analyses of contractor’s delay claims and related time impact analyses within context of the contract documents and industry practice; examine the claim and actual schedule for later or earlier completion; identify related disruption, acceleration and recovery opportunities; and recommend apportionment of the delay and/or acceleration and any additional associated costs in accordance with applicable, accepted practices, such as AACE International issued Recommended Practice No. 29 Forensic Schedule Analysis (RP 29)
Develop reports that effectively communicate complex project sequencing and/or forensic assessments
Contribute to the advancement of LAWA’s goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders
Hardware/Software Knowledge
Requires advanced use of Oracle Primavera software (mastery of Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 or higher required), along with related software tools such as Schedule Analyzer, Microsoft Project, Claims Digger, etc.
Experience Level/Other Qualifications
10 years or more of scheduling experience with 5 plus years in direct support of an active construction project
Direct forensic scheduling experience to support claims analysis on large-scale, complex heavy civil, vertical and horizontal projects (projects of at least $200M value and 3-years or greater duration) particularly for assessment of delay claims and potential owner’s liabilities
Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build
Demonstrated experience scheduling for multiple concurrent and interrelated projects
Ability to effectively communicate technical and schedule related information in oral and written form to non-expert audiences
Ability to work collaboratively with other subject matter experts and resources to support owner’s evaluation of claims
Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction program, contract and the ability to communicate progress and findings to both technical and management-level personnel
Prior experience in aviation and large transportation projects, is highly desirable
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related technical field required

This is NOT a work from home position
This is a salaried position based on 40 hours per week at the applicable all-in labor rate
This is a Monday-Friday full-time position in the office or on the project site at LAX
After hours or weekend work may be required to perform the duties of the position. This shall be considered part of the salary
Transportation to/from LAX worksite is the responsibility of the consultant
Compensation Range
$114,345.69 - $130,680.78
