Protecnium is an international firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Planner/Scheduler for a large-scale highway infrastructure project in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA (on-site position). The estimated duration of the position is 24 months, with potential for continuity on other projects afterward.

About the Role

The Senior Project Planner/Scheduler will support planning and scheduling activities for a major linear infrastructure project valued at approximately $1.5B. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure alignment with construction progress, contractual milestones, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline and updates).
  • Perform schedule analysis, critical path identification, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and project management teams.
  • Prepare schedule reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support delay analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master program.
  • Monitor productivity and forecast project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling requirements.
  • Ownership of Level 3 and Level 4 schedules for a major project segment.
  • Monthly executive schedule presentations.
  • Schedule recovery and acceleration planning.
  • Risk analysis and schedule forecasting.
  • Interface with owner, JV partners, construction managers, and project controls teams.
  • Support claims, change management, and time impact analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Strong experience in linear projects (highways preferred).
  • Proven experience managing schedules for projects exceeding $500M, preferably over $1B in construction value.
  • Experience supporting executive management and project leadership teams on large-scale infrastructure programs.
  • Experience working on major highway, transportation, bridge, heavy civil, or design-build infrastructure projects, preferably in the United States.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory or highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
  • Resource loading, cost loading, schedule risk analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
  • Experience with baseline development, updates, and delay/claims analysis is a plus.
  • English level: C1 (Advanced).
