Senior Highway/Roadway Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage large multi-disciplinary highway reconstruction projects, including both traditional bid-build and alternate delivery methods (Design-Build, PPP, etc.).
• Work with contractors for the delivery of Design-Build projects.
• Train and mentor junior staff in various aspects of highway design.
• Assist with pre-design project planning and financial management.
• Develop technical design and specification documents for highways and roads, including geometric layout, grading, and drainage, while considering utilities and environmental permitting.
• Oversee traffic engineering, stormwater management, drainage, temporary traffic control, traffic signals, and construction observation.
• Administer construction projects, including cost estimating and oversight.

Qualifications

• A BS in Engineering is required.
• An MS in Engineering is preferred.
• 11-15 years of relevant experience are required.
• A current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain one within six months is required.

Benefits

The base salary range for this position in Boston/Watertown, MA is $140,000-$190,000, while in Worcester, MA, it is $130,000-$180,000. Final compensation is determined by a variety of factors including individual qualifications, education, and experience.
