About the role
The Senior Project Planner will support construction and commissioning activities in Pearl City, HI, balancing administrative and strategic tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan construction and commissioning work on a day-by-day basis
- Collaborate with company leaders and third parties to produce detailed project plans and deliverables
- Assist the Project Manager in generating project control reports, including time and budget variation reports
- Attend customer and subcontractor meetings to represent company interests on scheduling and project issues
- Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with contract requirements and schedule
- Participate in the Change Order Management process
- Execute additional duties as directed by the Project Manager
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant Project Management and Project Planning experience
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Strong ability to analyze dependency logic and project critical path
- Highly motivated and adaptable to time-sensitive environments
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure effectively
- Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
- Written and spoken English proficiency
Desired Skills
- 3 years of experience with rail construction projects
- 2 years of experience with large infrastructure construction projects
- Experience with schedule analysis tools (e.g., TILOS, Acument FUSE)
- Advanced project management techniques and scheduling skills
- Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills
- 2–3 years of experience in Railway Systems/Signaling projects
Pay
$110,000–$165,000 per year. Final pay is determined by experience, skillset, internal equity, and location.
