About the role

Mott MacDonald is expanding its Water practice in North America and seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through delivery including financial performance
  • Provide process engineering expertise, including treatment plant design and optimization
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders
  • Develop and review technical reports, design documents, and specifications
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

Candidate Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management
  • Strong experience in process design for treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems
  • Proficient in Autodesk® AutoCAD LT® and Revit
  • Proven ability to deliver projects across planning, design, and construction phases
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Colorado preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • The expected salary for this position is $140,000 - $171,000

Schedule

Our hybrid approach centers on an in-office culture, with most of your time spent collaborating face-to-face and a minimum of three days per week in the office. We balance flexibility with connection, so you and your manager can choose how to meet client, team, and personal commitments.
