About the role

The Senior Project Manager - Utilities is responsible for overseeing complex project management tasks within the utilities sector. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and control of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the utilities sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
  • Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Qualifications

    • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of utility industry standards and best practices.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
