Position Overview
An established and growing engineering and consulting organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Transportation practice in the New England region. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex transportation projects for state agencies and municipalities, with a primary focus in New Hampshire and broader exposure across the Northeast.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage transportation design and planning projects from start to finish
- Oversee multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects
- Develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules, while monitoring overall project performance
- Serve as a client-facing leader for public agencies and municipalities
- Mentor and develop junior staff while strengthening team capabilities
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and client engagement
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are met across deliverables
- Play a key role in expanding transportation services across the New England region
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering or related field preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in transportation project management
- PMP, CCM, DBIA, or similar certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or transportation projects
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Degree in civil, structural, or transportation engineering
- Experience working with State DOTs or municipal transportation agencies
- Background supporting proposals and client presentations
- Strong familiarity with transportation projects across New England
