Senior Project Manager (Transportation Design)

As part of our Transportation team, you'll support the delivery of complex alternative delivery projects that connect communities, improve mobility, and drive economic growth. We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as the GEC Phase Lead for a large, multi-phase P3 project and help strengthen our position as a trusted partner to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the GEC lead and primary technical point of contact for a major project segment
- Lead the development of technical requirements, design criteria, and procurement support documentation
- Cook multidisciplinary design efforts across engineering and technical teams
- Ensure technical scope is well-defined, coordinated, and aligned with client standards and requirements
- Partner with client and program management teams to support procurement readiness and resolve technical issues
- Identify, communicate, and help address design gaps, inconsistencies, and constructability risks
- Support the development of procurement packages and technical provisions
- Lead and coordinate subconsultants, including scope, performance, deliverables, and alignment with project objectives
- Oversee project budgets, resource planning, and schedule performance for assigned technical activities
- Support the transition from pre-procurement activities into procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in transportation design and/or project delivery
- Experience on large infrastructure projects, including DOT, Design-Build, or P3 projects
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience supporting pre-procurement planning and procurement development for Design-Build projects
- Experience serving as a Design Manager, Owner's Representative, or in a similar project leadership role
- Familiarity with owner standards, procedures, and project development processes
- Experience with constructability reviews, staging and maintenance of traffic (MOT), and corridor-level design coordination
- Strong ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary project efforts
- Experience defining and structuring large infrastructure projects prior to procurement
- Strong cross-discipline coordination and integration skills
- Able to identify and address project risks early in project development
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with clients, program management teams, and project leadership groups

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $134,500.00 to $195,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
