About the role
The Project Manager will oversee the construction of the Purple Line Extension Section 3 Stations project. Responsibilities include ensuring project objectives are met, managing finances, representing the company in meetings, and assuming additional responsibilities as directed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure project objectives and performance standards are met, policies and procedures are followed, and work is performed with a safety-first focus
- Serve as primary liaison with the client, architects/engineers, and key stakeholders
- Monitor and control construction to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; and implement corrective action as needed
- Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or similar
- 15 or more years of experience managing the construction of transportation infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity to this project valued at $1.4B
- 5 or more years of experience managing the construction of at least one design-build light rail or heavy rail transit project
- Previously managed the construction of cut-and-cover structures
- Able to apply effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital
- A business-oriented person
- Licence and registration in the State of California is preferred but not required
Pay
$300,000 - $350,000 depending upon experience
