Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand their Residential Land Development practice in Northern Virginia!

Responsibilities

  • Leading a Residential Land Development team
  • Building and managing relationships with key clients
  • Operating with integrity and sound business principles
  • Providing vision, business planning, and strategy
  • Establishing goals
  • Growing and leading a land development practice
  • Managing and directing projects profitably
  • Transitioning work to qualified staff
  • Growing and mentoring staff
  • Acting as a positive leader and mentor
  • Given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience managing residential land development projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or PLA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in entitlements and permit processing in local jurisdictions
  • Extensive client contacts and relationships with local developers, land use attorneys, planners, and/or land owners
  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
  • Able to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Able to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage residential land development projects profitably
