About the role

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager / Program Manager who can lead multidisciplinary science-focused projects with a high degree of technical complexity and non-technical intricacies. You'll be responsible for directing and coordinating teams throughout the project lifecycle, from development and initiation to close-out.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)
  • Assume leadership responsibilities for managing multidisciplinary science focused projects with a high degree of technical complexity and non-technical intricacies
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
  • Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Cookstaff and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
  • Monitor the program's financial performance against pre-established financial metrics and make adjustments as necessary to meet earnings and profitability targets and control losses
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
  • PMP certification
  • Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Arlington, VA area
  • Preference given to candidates with laboratory experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Registered Architect
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
  • Knowledge and experience within the local and regional market
  • Good planning and mentoring skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. For example, in Arlington, VA, the range is $144,144 - $205,920.
