What You Will Do
- Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of Land Development and Public Works/Local Infrastructure projects, including light industrial, office/warehouse developments, commercial and residential subdivisions, municipal roadway, trails and drainage.
- Manage projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with project members, multi-practice teams, subconsultants and other stakeholders to make sure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated.
- Aid in the development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Support in preparation of proposals and RFQs.
- Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and Halff requirements and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
- Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
- Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, EITs, and technical staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within project team.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas.
- At least 10 years of experience in utility and public works design, local infrastructure, public works, municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and land development projects.
- Technical experience with land development software such as Civil 3D.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Profound technical writing and communication skills.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with project management, administration, and supervision, with a focus on quality, integrity and success.
- Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines.
- Established client relationships in the Rio Grande Valley a plus.
- Experience with 2D modeling software packages are beneficial but not required.
- Positive attitude, self-directed required.
