Senior Project Manager, HVAC
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated, accountable individual to support the Facilities Operations Group as a Project PM. In this role, you’ll oversee construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, logistics, and ensuring safe completion without impacting the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Provide construction oversight to ensure work is completed safely and without impact to the manufacturing process.
- Manage construction processes within the operations team.
- Read and understand plans and specifications for all phases of construction.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to ensure compliance with requests or provided information.
- Generate schedules using professional scheduling software (experience with Microsoft Projects and Primavera a plus).
- Utilize MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint fluently.
- Ensure job safety by enforcing SAS’s safety policies, monitoring compliance, and improving existing policies.
- Guarantee all projects meet departmental specifications and quality requirements.
- Oversee projects to ensure completion on or ahead of schedule.
- Monitor project backlogs and schedules to advise the estimating department and maintain a healthy workload.
- Monitor and analyze job costs relative to budget.
- Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy.
- Monitor and review daily reporting of job progress and challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, and chemical systems design and construction (highly desired).
- Experience with HVAC/Exhaust systems (preferred).
- Experience with Ultra-Pure Water and Industrial Waste Water (a plus).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License (a plus).
- Experience in the design, organization, implementation, and management of Construction and Engineering Projects.
- Experience managing federally funded contracts within a commercial organization.
- Experience delegating, tasking, tracking, and reporting on projects.
- Understanding of construction nuances, including insurance, bonding, licensing, estimating, and supervising.
- Experience in Civil, Structural & Architectural construction (a plus).
Pay
The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs based on organizational and individual performance.
