Senior Project Manager - Epic
Key Responsibilities
- Motivate and guide project teams toward common goals.
- Demonstrate strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Coach and mentor TDI Project Managers and contract PM resources.
- Engage stakeholders to manage expectations and demonstrate project value.
- Collaborate with sponsors and key team members to ensure requirements are captured accurately.
Domain Expertise
- Apply best practices and methodologies for portfolio, resource, and project management.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and status reports.
- Ensure timely updates in PMO platforms and customer approvals for system readiness.
- Oversee resource allocation and financial management to keep projects within budget.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Cook up technical requirements, training plans, and transition to operations.
Organizational Efficiency
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and escalate issues promptly.
- Provide regular updates and ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope and budget.
- Absorb challenges, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Adapt to changing environments and stakeholder needs.
Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree
PREFERRED: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Experience
Required: 6 years Experience to include five years in project management and five years in application and/or infrastructure services. or
Required: 4 years Experience is required to include three years in project management and three years in application and/or infrastructure services with preferred degree.
May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
PREFERRED: Clinical project management experience, 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional, large-scale and high-complex programs and/or projects that were implemented enterprise-wide, 5+ years of experience with implementing technology, data and/or innovation solutions, and 5+ years of experience creating and delivering presentations for Executive Leadership.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Epic EHR System, Ancillary Systems or similar.
Work Schedule
Hybrid schedule (onsite and remote), prefer a candidate in the local Houston area. Will need to travel to other facilities in the Houston area.

Certified PMI - Project Management Professional (PMP)
