Senior Project Manager (Creative Services)
About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee multiple creative projects across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and at a high level of quality.
This is a metric-driven role with clear expectations around project delivery, profitability, client satisfaction, and revenue growth across your portfolio.
You’ll work across a mix of ongoing membership accounts, fast-turn creative requests, and larger strategic initiatives.
You’ll partner closely with clients, designers, and cross-functional teams to keep projects moving while delivering an exceptional client experience.
You’ll develop a strong understanding of your clients’ business, goals, and priorities, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the partnership over time.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery (50%)
- Lead creative projects across multiple client accounts, balancing priorities, timelines, budgets, and quality
- Scope and estimate new work, developing timelines, budgets, resource plans, and creative briefs
- Partner with Design Leads and Operations to staff projects with the right team based on skills, capacity, and client needs
- Maintain project profitability, resource utilization, and delivery performance, proactively adjusting plans as priorities shift
- Manage project schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication throughout each engagement
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet SketchDeck’s quality standards
- Client & Account Management (25%)
- Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and project delivery
- Lead project kickoffs, status meetings, planning sessions, and day-to-day client communication
- Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, priorities, and goals to help guide project planning and identify future opportunities
- Identify opportunities to expand existing work and partner with the Account Manager or Business Development team to develop those opportunities
- For accounts without a dedicated Account Manager, own the ongoing client relationship, account health, and growth opportunities
- Team Leadership, Collaboration & Operations (25%)
- Lead weekly standups and manage a team of designers, writers and QC specialists
- Manage and mentor junior Project Managers, providing coaching and support as needed
- Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Design and Operations for clean handoffs & a seamless client experience
- Identify process improvements and share best practices across the PM team
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the PMO
Qualifications
- Required: 6+ years of creative project management experience within a creative agency
- Required: Experience managing multiple accounts, including enterprise and Fortune 100 clients, and $1M+ in annual project volume
- Required: Ability to accurately estimate, scope, and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
- Preferred: Expertise in brand systems, multi-channel campaigns, and complex creative workflows; proficient with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Preferred: Proven ability to build trusted client relationships while leading cross-functional creative teams
- PREFERRED: Mentoring Project Coordinators or junior Project Managers
- PREFERRED: Familiarity with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Workfront, or similar
- PREFERRED: PST or MST time zone preferred

- Compensation: Base salary: $90k – $105k, Commission: $5k – $10k annually (uncapped, paid monthly)
