Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager V

About the role

AECOM Transportation in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager V to manage rail and transit design and construction projects. This role directs and manages the entire project, provides guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and acts as the primary liaison between AECOM and clients.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the entire project (often various projects simultaneously)
• Provides guidance to subordinate managers
• Enforces company and project policies
• Acts as the primary liaison between AECOM and clients
• Accountable for all facets of the project including their accordance with design, budget and schedule
• Overall responsibility and management of project including, but not limited to, budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout

Requirements

• BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Valid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices

Preferred Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar field + 8 years of project management and/or construction management experience within the transportation-related construction industry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience within the rail / transit industry
• Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience utilizing Primavera P6, MS Project and/or similar project management information software
