Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the role

Our Columbus team is in need of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role is integral to our success and growth, offering a unique opportunity to lead high-profile construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction projects, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including initial planning, design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Lead project teams and manage the day-to-day development and coordination of projects.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for seamless project execution.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and develop effective contingency plans.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Report and escalate project issues to management as needed.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
• Evaluate project outcomes and provide feedback on project success and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferable.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven working experience in project management in the construction sector.
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction and project management.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful construction project from start to finish.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
