About the role

The Senior Project Manager Clinical Research role at Abbott is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of complex clinical research programs and studies through cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans to achieve overall program goals.
  • Lead, coordinate, and/or participate on cross-functional team activities from Concept Phase through Product Launch Phase.
  • Meet program development requirements, cost goals, quality objectives, and time-to-market objectives.
  • Analyze complex problems including those related to project risks, identifying their impact and establishing probabilities.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business and quality standards.
  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and may include international to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience with complex, technical program or project management.
  • Competent in project planning and management with strong decision-making, problem-solving, and demonstrated good judgment.
  • Working knowledge of new product development methodologies.
  • Aptitude to work on problems that are complex in scope, involving multiple competing factors.
  • Experience in using various types of databases and other computer software.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree preferred.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Aptitude to work independently and in groups, including cross-functionally.

Pay

$100,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year, depending on specific locations.

Schedule

Full-time, with occasional travel up to 20% of the time domestically and may include international.
