Job Description

Sets the stage for the PFK Strategic Plan by overseeing large-scale, collaborative projects aimed at improving children's health outcomes through innovative disease management and enhancing health care services equity.

  • Manages all stages of project lifecycle, from planning to execution.
  • Ensures scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and quality meet expectations.
  • Develops and implements communication plans, identifies and addresses project issues.
  • Produces core project deliverables, maintains project documentation, and tracks progress.
  • Collaborates with community engagement staff to assess potential partnerships and communicate with stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Leads medium and large projects through all phases of the PFK project life cycle.
  • Develops and ensures scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and quality meet expectations.
  • Identifies and escalates barriers or issues when needed, and asks clarifying questions.
  • Maintains the expectations and accuracy of the project plan.
  • Creates and maintains project documentation as appropriate.
  • Contributes to the definition of project goals, aligns with PFK’s goals and strategic plan, and defines success criteria.
  • Plans meeting agendas and documents meeting conclusions.
  • Ensures project teams have necessary resources for meetings.
  • Completes strategic analyses for tracking progress.
  • Partners with community engagement staff to assess potential partners and identify collaboration opportunities.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, healthcare, management, engineering, or a related field, required.
  • Project Management Professional Certification or Certified Associate in Project Management, preferred.

Skills

  • Independent work, decision-making, navigating inter-organization dynamics.
  • Structured facilitation, promoting understanding, achieving consensus.
  • Proficiency in PC desktop applications and online tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Track record in successful project completion.
  • Experience leading multiple medium to large-sized projects.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to recommend policy/process improvements.

Experience

  • Three years of relevant program or project support, required.
  • Project management experience in healthcare, supporting population health efforts, or Medicaid reimbursement, preferred.
  • Experience in large organizations or multi-organization systems, preferred.
