Senior Project Manager - Charlotte

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Lead project teams consisting of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Review contract documents and identify project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
  • Manage project reporting, cost controls, cash flow, and change order processes.
  • Cook up manpower planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
  • Support preconstruction efforts, value engineering initiatives, and project pursuits.
  • Mentor and develop junior project management staff.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to client retention efforts.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $10M+
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience working on healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management and project scheduling software.

Preferred Experience

  • Design-Build and Design-Assist project delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of BIM/VDC processes and coordination.
  • Experience managing self-perform mechanical construction operations.
  • Familiarity with fabrication-driven project delivery methods.
  • Multi-project oversight and portfolio management experience.
