Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration.
- Lead project teams consisting of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Review contract documents and identify project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps.
- Manage project reporting, cost controls, cash flow, and change order processes.
- Cook up manpower planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Support preconstruction efforts, value engineering initiatives, and project pursuits.
- Mentor and develop junior project management staff.
- Participate in business development activities and contribute to client retention efforts.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
- Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $10M+
- Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience working on healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency with construction management and project scheduling software.
Preferred Experience
- Design-Build and Design-Assist project delivery experience.
- Knowledge of BIM/VDC processes and coordination.
- Experience managing self-perform mechanical construction operations.
- Familiarity with fabrication-driven project delivery methods.
- Multi-project oversight and portfolio management experience.
