Senior Project Manager Business Alignment

About the role

Play a pivotal role in guiding Baylor Genetics' transformation from a genetics company to a leading technology-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, with a significant portion in the healthcare, biotechnology, or genetics industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic project initiatives that align with the company’s long-term goals and objectives
• Lead and oversee multiple high-priority, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic objectives
• Own and maintain Smartsheet for project tracking, including setting up project plans, timelines, and task assignments
• Execute team operating mechanisms, highlighting progress, risks, and issues
• Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to ensure project alignment
• Develop and manage a project portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and priorities
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and efficiency
• Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization
• Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project priorities
• Maintain strong relationships and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements

Additional duties may include leading ongoing reviews of business processes, mentoring junior project managers, and serving as a liaison between the Leadership team and CEO or COS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Life Sciences, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion in the healthcare, biotechnology, or genetics industry
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar advanced project management certification (preferred)
• Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Extensive experience managing high-priority, cross-functional projects and leading project teams (preferred)
• Demonstrated success in strategic project delivery and process improvement (preferred)
