About the role
Due to continued growth within their aviation division, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale airport construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to oversee highly visible projects including terminal improvements, concourse expansions, aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, cargo buildings, and other aviation-related construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead aviation construction projects ranging from $10M to $100M+ from preconstruction through closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
- Serve as the primary liaison for airport authorities, airlines, consultants, and ownership groups.
- Coordinate construction activities in active airport environments while maintaining operational continuity.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, buyout, contract administration, and change orders.
- Lead client meetings and provide executive-level project updates.
- Ensure compliance with all airport security, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while driving schedule and budget performance.
- Mentor junior project management staff and contribute to the growth of the aviation division.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
- Prior experience managing aviation, airport, transportation, infrastructure, or other highly complex commercial projects.
- Experience with terminal renovations, concourse expansions, aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, cargo buildings, or airside support facilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
- Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated construction environment.
