Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality goals
  • Serve as primary liaison with school districts, design teams, contractors, and public agencies
  • Develop project procedures and support contract administration and A/E coordination
  • Oversee cost management, scheduling, change management, risk mitigation, and project controls
  • Manage design coordination, constructability reviews, bid phases, and project meetings
  • Track progress against milestones and KPIs; provide status reporting
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, permits, and agency requirements
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop PMs, Assistant PMs, CMs, and project staff
  • Support project closeout and owner turnover

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 7+ years of project management experience with senior-level oversight and staff supervision
  • K–12 project experience (planning, design, and construction) required
  • Experience with public agencies and school districts required
  • Experience with procurement (RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in project accounting, cost management, and administrative functions
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications
  • Experience managing design phases (user groups, constructability, specifications)
  • Ability to manage deadlines, resolve issues proactively, and track to completion
  • Experience with local permitting authorities and change order negotiation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CM tools (Bluebeam, Procore, Prolog, Primavera)
  • Experience with project controls, estimating, cost control, and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; 7+ years of project management experience; K–12 project experience; experience with public agencies and school districts; experience with procurement; strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; experience in project accounting, cost management, and administrative functions; knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications; experience managing design phases; ability to manage deadlines, resolve issues proactively, and track to completion; experience with local permitting authorities and change order negotiation; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CM tools; experience with project controls, estimating, cost control, and scheduling.
