Senior Project Manager

About the role

DBE Utility Services is seeking a full-time Sr. Project Manager for Water/Wastewater and Large HDD projects in the Jacksonville, FL office. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of senior project management experience in underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of projects from estimating to construction closeout, including bidding, procurement, project controls, constructability reviews, material management, pre-construction, construction management, financial tracking, budgeting, progress meetings, final walkthroughs, and closeout.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promote best practices in project management, and mentor team members to enhance project delivery.
• Ensure continuous alignment with organizational goals and drive process improvements for future projects.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
• Direct and coordinate activities of several disciplines on projects of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects.
• Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.
• Handle document control and coordination of project requirements between the field, office, and municipalities.
• Oversee daily activities, whereabouts, and progress of multiple construction crews and their projects.
• Travel to job sites and client meetings within the Southeast, with occasional overnight stays due to distance.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, effectively presenting complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Estimator/Sr. Project Manager experience in Water/Wastewater (W/WW) underground utility construction.
• Versatile employee with a well-rounded understanding of both office and field operations.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Willingness and ability to travel to job sites and client meetings within the Southeast, including occasional overnight stays.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $135,000–$145,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
