About the role
This position is open due to the growth that we are experiencing in the California Healthcare market. We currently have a number of large projects ongoing and large projects slated to start in 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the development and implementation of large, multifaceted projects and complete projects from original concept to final implementation and commissioning.
- Train and coach project teams and protect and promote the interests of Boldt on projects.
- Verify that work meets safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality that meets the budget.
- Lead communication efforts for internal and external project reporting and manage the project team.
- Actively engage in day-to-day safety activities, implement Safety Culture Improvement Plan, and embrace safety with a "we care" mentality.
- Ensure the team has a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of contract documents and lead implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead design studies, provide recommendations for materials and methods, and develop cost estimates.
- Lead the Boldt Production System (BPS), including master scheduling, production strategies, make work ready, weekly, and daily planning and production tracking.
- Manage subcontractor trade coordination meetings, look ahead planning meetings, and submittal review meetings.
- Lead the supply chain procurement process to align with project schedule and maintain up-to-date production visuals and site logistics plans.
- Manage project budget, analyze and control expenditures, recommend or approve budgets and expenditures, and provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on project operating condition.
- Oversee detailed contract item lists, scopes of work, subcontracts, and purchase orders, and manage risk and response planning.
- Create operational initiatives to improve project delivery in areas such as design, schedule, quality, cost, safety, and delivery methods.
- Model and reinforce a continuous improvement culture, drive operating performance through process improvement, and provide leadership for problem resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field required; a combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ten or more years’ experience in construction project management and related functions, including ground-up healthcare construction.
- Three more years' experience with OSHPD/HCAIIPD/LEAN/IFOA experience in the healthcare sector strongly preferred.
- Broad understanding of successful project delivery including financial data, production planning, and lean process improvement techniques.
- Ability to apply innovative management techniques to inspire and empower teams to produce desired results.
- Proficiency in 0365 office suite.
Qualifications
- Frequent physical demands: Position occasionally requires positioning objects and operating tools or controls, frequent use of computer keyboard, and regular movement to access people or machinery or workspaces.
- Physical requirements: Regularly moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally moves up to 25 pounds, ascends and/or descends ladders or stairs, and frequently works in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Specific abilities: Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $174,500.00 - $235,033.00 per year.
Schedule
The Boldt Company expects the incumbent to work at their Whittier, CA location. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
