Senior Project Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide oversight of construction related activities for contracts
Support COR by performing all project management tasks
Coordinate with customers, conduct schedule reviews, and perform design reviews
Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field
Review contractor submittals for contract conformance
Provide assistance to the contracting officer or COR throughout the acquisition phases of projects including answering offerors questions; attending/participating in site orientation visits; attending/participating in joint contractor/government meetings
Draft technical responses to any change orders
Prepare statements of work and cost estimates for new contracts and contract modifications
Limited supervision and general direction
Independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments

Education and Experience

Four-year degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification preferred
Minimum of 20 years project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects
Project management experience on projects over $50M

Computer Skills

  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
    Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
