Responsibilities
- Ensures team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery
- Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress
- Creates roadmaps and milestone charts for the project
- Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using a network of peers and formal channels
- Integrates Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work product
- Coaches Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization
- Coaches the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
- Utilizes team feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity and works with the team to continuously improve
- Assesses the current organization and delivery environment and recommends optimal Agile practices tailored to the client
- Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
- Develops understanding and encouragement of team’s innovation and improvement
- Prepares and delivers effective communications both verbally and in writing regarding progress and status
- Performs hands-on project work, including analysis, design, and change management, as needed by the project
- Understands domain architecture and targets to identify upstream and downstream dependencies and to support the team in risk management
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years managing IT projects using Agile methodologies and approaches
- Proven background in consulting and project management
- Possesses at least one professional certification relevant to the technical service provided
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Demonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process and/or technical problems
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification
- Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk’s total compensation package for employees.
