Senior Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager at Skanska is responsible for overseeing the overall direction of large, complex, and/or multiple projects. They are instrumental in assembling Project Management Teams and ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes. This includes budgeting, organizing, implementing, and scheduling projects. They also manage the transition from the estimate/pre-construction phase to construction, including design management if applicable, to protect the bid position. The role ensures projects are constructed safely, ethically, and in compliance with all relevant laws.
Responsibilities
- Ensure client satisfaction and deliver projects on time.
- Maintain or exceed planned profit targets for projects.
- Create and maintain a culture of safety.
- Develop a culture of quality assurance and control.
- Manage and develop successful teams.
- Oversee the transition from estimate/pre-construction to construction phases.
- Protect the bid position during the transition.
- Ensure projects are constructed safely and in compliance with all laws.
Requirements
- 6+ years of proven track record of assuring client satisfaction.
- 6+ years of track record of delivering on-time projects.
- 6+ years of experience maintaining or exceeding planned profit targets for projects.
- 6+ years of experience in maintaining a culture of safety.
- 6+ years of experience in developing a culture of quality assurance and control.
- 6+ years of experience managing and developing successful teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
