You engage with stakeholders, including clients and contractors, to provide updates and gather feedback, fostering strong relationships through effective communication. Throughout the day, you analyze project financials, assess budgets, and conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
Regular site visits allow you to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with safety standards. In the afternoon, you lead project review meetings, collaborating with technical teams to address engineering challenges.
As the day wraps up, you document progress and prepare reports for senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability while driving project success and reinforcing a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead high voltage AIS and GIS substation projects, ensuring successful execution from start to finish.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to drive alignment and project success.
- Promote proactive risk management to identify issues early and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards to protect teams and the environment.
- Inspire and empower project teams, contributing to innovation and a sustainable energy future.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of project management experience in AIS/GIS Substations EPC environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI) and Siemens Energy practices.
- Solid technical understanding of high voltage AIS/GIS equipment and electrical engineering principles.
- Financial expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Proven ability to manage risks across complex, multi-project environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and EHS compliance experience, along with an engineering degree (Electrical preferred) and PMP certification; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
