Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of assigned utility construction projects, including budget, schedule, resources, and workforce allocation
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards
- Drive timely decision-making and provide direction to maximize project profitability and efficiency
- Supervise project teams, including field leadership and administrative staff
- Oversee and optimize the use of company-owned and rented equipment
- Contribute to and review project schedules, cost tracking, and reporting
- Support development and execution of subcontracts, purchase orders, and proposals
- Review and approve construction methods, site purchases, and operational practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulations
- Prepare and submit monthly job cost reports and financial updates
- Act as a key liaison with clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction
- Lead project close-out processes to ensure contractual and company requirements are met
- Support employee development and company training initiatives
- Assume any additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 10+ years of project management experience on multi-million-dollar electrical construction projects
- Proven experience in high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution projects
- Strong understanding of utility construction practices and safety standards
