Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and developers.
  • Negotiate and secure new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget; investigate and implement corrective measures for potential issues.
  • Represent the company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations, and participate in strategy meetings.
  • Facilitate and participate in client presentations and project interviews.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, rental equipment, income/expenses, and maintaining good relationships with clients.
  • Supervise the work of Project Managers/Project Engineers when assigned.
  • Mentor and provide development assistance as required.
  • Assume additional job-related responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Requirements

  • A 4-year Construction Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent, plus at least 10 years of extensive experience in commercial construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize team performance.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, influence, and persuasive speaking.
  • Advanced problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
  • Knowledge of common financial practices within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and industry-specific software.
  • A valid Driver's License in good standing.
