About the role
The Senior Project Manager at PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is responsible for leading large-scale, high-risk, and high-visibility electric utility construction projects. This role requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, client satisfaction, financial performance, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead major transmission and distribution projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Oversee portfolios of projects and provide strategic direction to Project Managers
- Drive regional project performance, profitability, and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships
- Support business development efforts, including estimating, proposals, and client presentations
- Ensure consistent application of safety, quality, and operational standards
- Develop, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers and emerging leaders
- Collaborate with regional leadership on workforce planning and operational strategy
- Resolve complex project issues, claims, and disputes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of senior-level project management experience in electric utility construction
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex, multi-million-dollar projects
- Advanced financial, contract, and risk management expertise
- Exceptional client-facing and strategic communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and team development
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the MN area
Qualifications
- PMP certification required within 60 days of hire
