Senior Project Manager

About the role

A Tier 4 Public Trust is a high-risk federal background investigation for sensitive roles, and the scope of the background check is more intensive than lower tiers.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of construction-related activities for contracts.
• Support COR by performing all project management tasks.
• Provide the day-to-day project management for construction and service projects.
• Tasks include coordination with customers, schedule review, and design review.
• Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field.
• Review contractor submittals for contract conformance.
• Aid the contracting officer and COR throughout the acquisition phases of the project to include answering offerors questions; attending/participating in site orientation visits; attending/participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
• Draft technical responses to any change orders. Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 20 years’ project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
• Project management experience on projects over $50M
• Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Preferrably PMP or other project management certification

Qualifications

• Education: Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

Skills

• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with customers and manage project schedules.
• Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in drafting technical responses and preparing cost estimates.
