Senior Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager will report to operational leadership and take full responsibility for the successful delivery of major commercial construction projects. This position requires strong client-facing skills, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion and handover
- Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation plans
- Negotiate and administer client and subcontractor contracts
- Ensure project safety, quality control, and operational compliance standards are maintained
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractor partners
- Support business development efforts, including identifying and securing new project opportunities
- Mentor and develop project teams while ensuring successful project execution and closeout
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working for a commercial general contractor
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects, ideally valued at $50M+
- Experience managing projects under Construction Manager at Risk delivery methods
- Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality management
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to new business opportunities
- Experience managing multiple project teams and mentoring project staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered
- Experience within sectors such as mission critical, healthcare, higher education, multifamily, industrial, office, government, hospitality, or life sciences is advantageous
