Summary
Responsible for overseeing and managing complex construction projects through planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities while ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, architects, and engineering teams to develop project plans and designs that align with the hospital's strategic goals.
- Lead and oversee a multidisciplinary project team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement processes, and contract negotiations with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects and develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including hospital administrators, department heads, and staff, to provide regular project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Evaluate change requests and modifications to project plans, specifications, or scope.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management required or Bachelor's Degree in Related Field of Study required. Experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Construction Management Experience: 5-7 years required.
- Project Management: 1-2 years required.

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to solve problems and make timely, effective decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build productive relationships.
- Familiarity with healthcare facility requirements and regulations, such as infection control and patient safety.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental considerations.
