About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading integrated automated material handling projects across North America. This role oversees the administrative, contractual, technical, and financial components of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance with performance specifications, and adherence to established schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder communication
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams and subcontractors, setting priorities and resolving conflicts as needed
- Ensure system designs meet all contractual and technical requirements
- Develop, maintain, and control the project master schedule to ensure timely completion
- Maintain overall responsibility for the project budget, aiming to deliver results within or below financial targets
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering collaboration and team development
- Perform additional duties as required to support project execution and organizational objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years of project management experience with increasing responsibility, ideally in automation, parcel, warehouse, or similar industries
- Proven track record managing large-scale projects (>$50M) with experience in cross-functional or international teams
- Strong project planning, execution, and organizational skills, including managing competing priorities, deadlines, and diverse stakeholders
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, managing vendor relationships, and using project scheduling tools and ERP/project management systems
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work extended hours during critical project phases; PMP, CSM, or similar certification preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must not have any legal or regulatory restrictions that would prevent the issuance, renewal, or use of required travel documents, or otherwise limit the ability to fulfill the travel requirements of the role
