Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads complex projects in the Healthcare industry, focusing on MEP focused design engineering, commissioning, energy optimization, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves maintaining a Superior Client Experience, collaborating with the team, and achieving financial sustainability targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clear knowledge of HEAPY Corporate Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
• Continually advance technical education and personal development aligned with OKRI goals.
• Guide HEAPY service delivery consistent with the appropriate service operating procedures and the identified milestones.
• Participate in project costing and bid preparation to the extent required.
• Review assigned projects after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, resource planning, client communication plan, and progress billing points.
• Establish Client – HEAPY – Architect - Construction Manager liaison network to keep all interested parties informed of project communication, planning, schedule, and work progress.
• Collaborate with the Practice Director, Operations Manager, and Practice Technical Leader to form a project work team and see that responsibilities are assigned, and execution of tasks are initiated and completed according to schedule.
• Holds regularly scheduled project progress review meetings to ensure that project contract terms, conditions, and specifications are being met, project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies, delays and cost overruns are minimized, and information for progress billing purposes is submitted correctly and on time.
• Represents the HEAPY culture, maintains colleague morale and interacts appropriately with client counterparts.
• Engages directly in design and maintains design oversight and leadership relating to discipline/expertise for projects managed.

Qualifications

• Normaly requires a 4-year degree in engineering and typically 10 - 15 years of experience in MEP focused design and project management or equivalent working knowledge/experience.
• Professional registration is preferred.
• Prior job assignments typically include project engineering and project management responsibilities, preferably for education clients.
